Spitting Image was a breakthrough controversial satire show in Israel. It was the number one rated show for five years.
Today this kind of criticism and political satire doesn't pass, and even though it was shot a long time ago, it seems like nothing changed in local Israeli politics (just the censors)
I was very young when I directed it, which is probably why it was so wild, and without barriers. I think that today, it's much more difficult to go that far.
Spitting Image won the best comedy show award in the Venice Television Festival.
